Movember

Look at this video:

Now back to this:

Sadly, this is not Dusty’s stache, but on November 30th, it could be.  For the month of Movember, Dusty is raising money to find a cure for prostate cancer.  Won’t you help him in his noble quest?  Dusty is one of the coolest people in the office, so support me supporting him.

And now a question:

Is it just me, or is there more public concern/awareness surrounding breast cancer than other cancers?  And if so, why is that?  Is it because women made a more “marketable” fight against cancer, and disease in general?  I want it understood I am in no way belittling anyone’s fight with this disease – man, woman or child, but shouldn’t we be concerned with all forms?  Isn’t a cure for cancer a cure for cancer? Should there be this division between type?

Cancer is scary.  Scarier than sharks and zombies for me.  Is it just because of globalization and the different mediums for news that we hear more about it, or is it on the rise?  At any rate, it’s here and this is just one of many ways people have chosen to fight it.  Let’s support them, shall we?
